ITS Upgrades

ITS UPGRADES ON M-59 (2020)

Construction Budget: $1.9M

As the Prime consultant representing MDOT’s Oakland TSC, TYME provided full construction engineering services and oversaw the installation 15.60 miles of conduit and fiber optic cable, ITS devices, wireless links, DSRC/RSU, CCTV cameras, and dynamic message sign on M-59, within Oakland and Macomb Counties.

Bridge Scoping

2020 METRO REGION BRIDGE SCOPING (2021)

Serving as the Prime consultant for MDOT’s Metro Region, our team delivered complete engineering inspection and scoping services for 40 structural bridges across Wayne County, MI. We engineered localized repair strategies, generated precise cost projections, and established comprehensive action plans detailing structural rehabilitations and preventive maintenance upgrades for each asset.

I-696 Bridges

I-696 BRIDGES

Acting as the Prime consultant for MDOT’s Macomb TSC, TYME delivered comprehensive construction engineering, contract administration, and project close-out services for nine major bridge structures along the high-volume I-696 corridor in Macomb County. The team managed on-site inspection and materials testing for extensive structural upgrades, including full deck replacements and widening, substructure patching, concrete surface coating, deep concrete overlays, joint and railing replacements, and complex traffic maintenance from east of Mound Road to west of Roseville.

Bridge Repairs

I-75 AT M-10 BRIDGE REPAIRS (2017)

Construction Budget: $3.5M
Operating as the Prime consultant representing MDOT-SEMTOC, TYME provided specialized, as-needed ITS services and construction oversight for major bridge rehabilitation and roadway reconstruction in the City of Detroit. The project safely executed critical structural and operational upgrades at the I-75 and M-10 interchange, encompassing full deck replacements, bridge removals, steel painting, substructure patching, approach road reconstruction, signage, and updated pavement markings.

I-275 REHABILITATION

Serving as the Prime consultant for MDOT’s Taylor TSC, TYME provided as-needed construction engineering, administration, and material quality assurance for a high-profile 7.25-mile urban corridor spanning Oakland and Wayne Counties. The project delivered comprehensive road resurfacing, bridge rehabilitations, and critical ITS infrastructure upgrades across I-275, I-696, and the M-5 interchange. Executed under tight urban constraints, the project’s exceptional delivery and craftsmanship earned a prestigious Divided Highways – Urban award from the Michigan Concrete Association (MCA) in 2017.

HMA Paving

M-14 NAPIER TO US-23 (2020)

Construction Budget: $4.2M
 
As the Prime consultant representing MDOT’s Brighton TSC, TYME provided full construction engineering, project management, and material quality assurance for 7.91 miles of HMA paving along M-14 in Washtenaw County. The field team directed comprehensive on-site inspections, material sampling, and office engineering to oversee extensive cold milling of the existing roadway surface, asphalt resurfacing, and updated pavement markings.

M-3 RECONSTRUCTION FROM 11 MILE ROAD TO 14 MILE ROAD 

Construction Budget: $65.4M
 
Providing as-needed construction engineering services for MDOT’s Macomb TSC, TYME is supporting the massive 3.44-mile urban corridor reconstruction of M-3 through Roseville. The project involves multi-phase management of extensive hot mix asphalt and concrete paving, brand-new curb, gutter, and sidewalk/ramp installations, deep utility sewer upgrades, and updated regional signage and high-visibility pavement markings.

I-75 ITS DOWNRIVER DESIGN

Supporting MDOT-SEMTOC, TYME provided specialized ITS design services to modernize a critical commercial passageway within the international trade network across Wayne County. The project engineered robust intelligent transportation infrastructure along the high-volume Downriver segment of I-75, establishing vital real-time monitoring capabilities to optimize the regional movement of freight and goods between Michigan, Ohio, and Canada.
