At TYME, we feel that an internship helps establish career goals and prepares graduates for the job that best fits them. Our interns receive the opportunity to work on different projects that provide exposure to TYME’s services.
Kevin Klucens interned for the summer during the 2018 construction season. Having interned with TYME last year, Kevin easily acclimated to our business construction schedule.
During his internship, Kevin worked on several projects including the I-75 Inlay, M-59 from Martin Luther King, Jr Road to Vanker Road, and the I-75 Eleven Bridges project. On these projects, he provided inspection services. So far, Kevin believes the coolest part of his internship is to be “a part of a project’s design stage and see how the plans for a road are made.”
He is currently attending Wayne State University, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Kevin will graduate in May 2020 and plans to work in the transportation engineering industry.
When asked what he likes best about working at TYME, Kevin refers to the friendly company culture.
“My co-workers and superiors are very friendly,” Kevin said. “They help me understand what it takes to be a hardworking and reliable construction engineer, project manager, or inspector in the future.”
In his spare time, Kevin likes to watch demolition derbies and play games that involve strategy.
